Golden State Warrior CJ Watson Supports ARISE Students

Golden State Warrior NBA Star CJ Watson discovered ARISE online and started a "Tickets for Grades" program this year, honoring the four students with the top GPAs in each grade by bringing them by limo to a Warriors game. CJ Watson visits ARISEEach student was able to bring one guest and also recieved a Warrior's bag and other gifts. In March, ARISE was also honored by a visit from Watson, who was impressed by the sense of community and opportunities in evidence at the school. Watson decided to reach out to the school initially because of the focus on sending first-generation, low-income students to college-- something that is important to him as well. The students, staff, and families are grateful to CJ Watson for pioneering this program with us and for the wonderful experience he provided for the students.
